"The 3-Pin 75mm"
I just got back into nordic/bs skiing recently and was a bit overwhelmed by the wide variety of binding systems. Old-schooler that I am, I decided to try this 3-pin binding from voile and found it to be superb for my uses. I can ski this binding on nordic loops, touring trails, as well as bushwacking in the back woods. These bindings are strong and solid, yet still lightweight. I'm a big guy 6ft/200lbs with a US size 13 foot, so I had some concerns about how a large boot would fit into this binding, as many of today's 3-pin bc boots have a thicker bill than the boots of my youth. No worries with these bindings, there is plenty of room to get situated. During skiing, the bindings are smooth and provide dependable lateral stability, especially when used with the detachable cables. The cables are easy to get onto the boots and the locking mechanism works well. My only complaint is that the left/right indicators are simple arrows, whose intended direction can be hard to remember if not used frequently. Other than that, these bindings are sturdy kit.
