"Seemingly well-made Italian footwear."
I have only worn these on a few short day hikes, but the boots seem sturdy and at a better price-point in comparison to similar boots made by other European competitors. My only complaint is the overly intricate lacing eyes. They have small rotating wheels that may pose breakage problems later. Simple is usually best when it comes to boots that will be taking a beating on rocks and tough off-trail hiking.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

"Great boot"
This is a great mountaineering/hiking boot. The padding on the inside of the boot is very comfortable. These boots are very warm and have kept my feet dry in wet conditions. I really like the semi-stiff soles since they provide more support on rock. You can't beat a vibram sole on wet surfaces. I had initially hoped that I would be able to use these boots with ice crampons but the soles are not that stiff, however that was my misconception as these are all purpose hiking boots.

I also like the quick lacing system and how much easier it is to tighten the laces by the use of the pulleys on the lace eyelids. they are expensive but I do not expect to be buying another pair of boots for a couple of years.

The only thing I noticed is that they tend to fit a bit small so I ordered a half size bigger than what most of my other boots are.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

"every day testimonial"
I purchased this pair of boots the same day as a pair of Asolo 520 TPS. This is the first pair of scarpas I have purchases and 8'th pair of Asolo's. I have been wearing them every other day for over a month( I am a forester/bowhunter in WV and I completely demolish about one pair of upper end hikers per year) and here is what I've figured out.

Asolo soles are far superior in comfort and stability but lack the traction of the scarpas. Then again the soles are showing far more wear in the scarpas.

Scarpa uppers are far better fitting than the asolos. (They are roomier in the toe box) but after 6 months or so I may change my mind after they break in.

Asolos have given me blisters(again) in top of big toe area which is easily remedied by skipping a eyelet on both sides until they wear in.
Scarpas leave the balls of my foot in pain after 5 miles or more a day. (Almost bruised feeling)

Both need good insoles before you try them on.

Both are extremely waterproof and excellent choices for the serious woodsman.

Both are true to size

Yes, I would recommend this product.
