The Scarpa F1 alpine touring boots have evolved since their inception in 1999. The forgiving fit, especially for wider feet, has made this popular, lightweight a classic. The responsive, laterally stiff upper drives nearly any ski, while the range of motion in the cuff puts all your energy into uphill progress. A Boa® closure on the lower and a precise, adjustable upper buckle can dial you into downhill precision and power.

- "A great touring boot"
I purchased this to replace my Dynafit TLT6M--I had worn the liners out and have not been to get a replacement that works for me (same thing happened with my TLT5s). The fit is good for me--a little less roomy the toe box than the 6, more roomy than the TLT5 and Mercury at the metatarsals (I had to have my Mercuries punched). The tongue does not impair striding as far as I can tell. The boa for the forefoot and the velcro upper buckle are great. I removed the powers strap and adapted a Booster strap to the clip in case I need one. The ramp angle inside the boot is less than that in the Dynafits--thus the 20 degree forward lean is not a problem at all and allow for a nicely centered and balanced stand on my Cho Oyus with Speed Radicals and a B&D toe shim n the front. The 28.5/29 boot is 3 mm shorter than the TLT6 29/29.5 shell and only very slightly heavier than the 6 without its accessory tongue or power strap. The boot walks on trail and pavement as well as any AT boot I have tried. It tours well, but the low ramp angle means using heel lifts more often (may not be the case with unshimmed toes).
Yes, I would recommend this product.
