Description
The Montbell U.L. Super Spiral Down Hugger #5 is an ultralight must-have for your summer adventures. If space is at a premium, this mummy bag will deliver, while performing like a bigger (and heavier) bag. Phenomenal stretch allows you to change positions, even sit crossed legged, while minimizing dead air pockets.

  • Super Spiral Stretch System offers even more stretch than the Spiral, in addition to orienting the fabric¡’s warp and weft threads at a 45° angle, the Super Spiral utilizes an elastic stitch technique to create small ''gathers'' in the quilting
  • Sprawling or claustrophobic sleepers will find refuge in the elasticity of this mummy bag
  • Multi-box Construction with Flow Gate™ partitions ensure even heat distribution, limit down migration and add to the overall life of the bag
  • Polkatex™ 100 wash rated DWR finish keeps drink spills or humidity from ruining your trip
  • 2-way full-length (67 in) zippers allow the bag to be used as a blanket or joined with another MontBell bag
  • Draft tube flap prevents air from exiting through the zipper
  • Tapered, bias stretch stuff sack offers easy packing
  • Cotton storage sack included
  • Reg – 6’0’’ Long – 6’6’’
  • European Norm (EN) independently rates this bag at 48°F/ 9°C (Comfort), 41°F/ 5°C (Lower), 17°F/ -8°C (Extreme)

MontBell U.L. Super Spiral Down Hugger #5 Sleeping Bag 2103 5 5 1 1
Excellent super light sleeping bag The sleeping bag is exactly what I needed for summer backpacking. The elastic design really works good for someone with very wide shoulders. While I have not tested it in colder conditions, it appears to have plenty of loft to be sufficient down into the 40°'s. Two things should be noted however. 1) The bottom has sewn through down compartments (no baffles). The top and hood are fully baffled. Should be OK for its designed application. 2) The hood draw string is not elastic that would make it more comfortable. Therefore I am going to replace it with a fine sized shock cord. August 26, 2013
