comfortable out of the box, but sole seems to wear too easily Admittedly an armchair trekking enthusiast. Mixed surfaces, packed sandy fire trails, clay woody trails, asphalt with 18 to 25kg pack. Comfortable enough out of the box to want to wear them continuously and confidently for long treks straight away. However, only after a short while, what i think is excessive wear is showing on the heel and toe of the vibram soles. I have 2 other pair of boots which have used for longer and the wear pattern is less significant. January 5, 2013
