"Excellent heavy duty boots."
The Lowa Tibet GTX boots are all they purport to be. They are true to size and were comfortable right out of the box. I am 280 lbs and probably 310-325 with a pack. These boots are sturdy and stable even for me. Although I have put less than 25 miles on them so far, it is obvious that these are long-life boots.
I have two ery minor suggestions. First, the insole/insert fails to match the high quality of the boots. A better (or best) quality insert should be part of the package. I changed to a competitor's insert within a couple of miles. Second, the lacing system is "high tech" and deserves a little explanation on the pieces, best or preferred lacing patterns, lace diameter and maintenance tips.
Overall, these are terrific boots . I look forward to years of hard use and I expect to continue to recommend them to others.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

"The Lowa Tibet GTX boots are great. The OMCGear service is unbeatable."
The Lowa Tibet boots fit perfectly and required little - if any - breaking in. They are true to size. I have only a few miles (+/-40) on the boots and they are comfortable and sturdy. They feel like they will last many years hiking through the Rockies of Southwestern Montana, where I live. By the way, I am 280 lb and wear size 15. With a pack, my total weight is 320 - 340 and I hike hard!
I have a few minor suggestions for Lowa. First, the lacing system obviously has much thought behind it. Lowa should include some lacing recommendations and instructions to enable optimizing the system. Through trial and error, there are several ways to match the lacing to the intended use. Second, upgrade the inserts. The Lowa inserts are good but not up to the quality of the boots. Kenetrek inserts are noticeably better.
