Lowa Ranger GTX Hiking Boot - Men's 2013 5 5 6 6
Super Versatile Classic Boot These boots are beautifully made, and they are comfortable almost immediately. They have enough stiffness for those heavier packing trips, and enough flexibility to work as an everyday light duty boot as well. The wicking works really well, too. Great Price from OMC. I was glad I took the advice of reviewers elsewhere and went 1/2 size larger and wider on these to get a little more room in the toe box and enough length. I think they do run a little small. I am very pleased with the shoes and the delivery service from OMC Gear. Ditto on my review summary !!!!!!!!! I wouldn't hesitate to order more items from OMC. February 16, 2014
A solid boot for the serious hiker I took the advice gleaned from reviews elsewhere and ordered this boot 1/2 size up and wider than normal. The fit is perfect, giving me the room I need in the toebox and a solid heel grip. The boot is beautifully made, pretty light, and has a good solid feel. The sole grips well over mixed terrain but is not too aggressive. I expect as I break them in they will be even better. Very happy with this purchase-- the price was great! February 6, 2014
Excellent quality I have been using Vasque boots for the past 30 years but decided to change to a new brand since Vasque boots are not what they used to be (previously made in Italy but now made in China) and they do not hold up. I have so far been impressed with the Lowa boots I purchased from OMCgear for a very reasonable price. I need a waterproof and durable boot for everyday wear on the farm. Recently, in near freezing weather, I spent 45 minutes or more working in a creek bottom repairing fences and at the end of a long day of work outside, my feet were warm and dry. If these boots continue to perform as they have so far, I will be a loyal Lowa customer. February 3, 2014
GREAT BOOTS!!! I am a husky guy who was looking for the support of a stiffer boot but did not feel I needed the excessive stiffness necessary for specific activities. I also have a wide foot. I read many reviews and it was suggested that I purchase these boots a half size larger. It worked out perfectly. I have been experimenting with a few different lacing techniques and found a configuration that is just right for me. The boots are everything promised and the delivery was fast an efficient. I am sure they are worth the price and that I will have them for many years. December 25, 2013
Great Boot I've only spent 2 days hiking in these so far, but I am very impressed. They have great torsional stability and support for a lighter weight boot. Break-in time is relatively short. The soles are very "sticky", providing great traction on large boulders around a lake I was fishing in a Northern Nevada mountain range. Regarding sizing, they seem to run a bit small. My measured foot size is a solid men's 12 US, and width is a solid D. I also need a relatively wide toe box. I purchased a size 13US, regular width, and the fit is about perfect with a light liner sock and medium weight wool blend hiking sock. I'm going to love these boots! June 24, 2013
