"Great Boot"
I bought these for my wife to use on some cascade volcanos. They are great boots! She really loves the way they fit, and says that the women's specific design is way more comfortable than the unisex style boots she had before.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

"Sizing is everything"
This boot was purchased for a Northern Cascades climb of Mt. Shuksan. Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews on the sizing. I am very faithfully a women's US 8.5 with a high arch, which would typically convert to a European 40. In the case of this boot I wear a 41. In order to get the necessary room in the toe, without swimming in the boot, I would absolutely recommend purchasing an entire size up. These are heavy boots, and I would like to see the La Sportiva Trek offered in the US, as it is 1000g lighter, and would meet most of our needs here in the US for general mountaineering on snow, boulders and loose rock. Currently it appears to only be offered in Europe. To test these out, I did a 5 mile hike in Harriman State Park with approximately 1500 vertical rise, on primarily dirt/rocky trails. They are a little like putting giant weights around your ankle. I spent quite a bit of time trying to get the laces to the correct tightness. I was looking to avoid too much heel lift or having the tongue bite into the crease where the top of the foot and ankle meet. Overall, I think they will work good for Shuksan. They are quite sturdy, you feel well supported, and I believe they will meet a wide range of temperature challenges.

Yes, I would recommend this product.
