Description
The Fischer BCX 875 boot will telemark or parallel turn skis with ease, and still tour comfortably for miles or days. With the popular explosion of the new, short and wide, backcountry touring skis, hybrid boots like the BCX 875 have become a necessity. Fischer takes the lead with a mix of neo-traditional and modern boot components. The BCX 875 has a stiff and powerful 3-pin sole for stability and edging, while the skate-boot-inspired cuff provides outstanding lateral support without compromising easy striding, and Thinsulate keeps the biting cold away.

  • Ergonomic cuff for more side hold with full freedom of movement to the front and back. Even pressure distribution through EVA cuff cushioning
  • Anatomically formed 3D plastic heel cap for an optimum fit
  • Ratchet/buckle system for individual and fast adjustment of the Carbon Flex Cuff
  • Thinsulate insulation traps heat very effectively
  • Vibram 75mm sole

Fischer BCX 875 Ski Boot - Men's 1 5 1 1
buckle strap broke Buckle insert strap broke in tightning. Material is thin vinyl and just snapped as tightening. I am returning them. Very disappointed since It is a nice boot with good support with 2 buckles . Like that its weigtht is just about 2.5 lbs per boot . Just what I was looking for in a backcountry leather boot . More support then Rossi BCx12. Unfortunately would not be able to trust straps in backcountry for long term. This is a design error with straps just too thin. Never had a problem with any of my plastic boots - scapa brand some of which are over 20 years old including T4 rootbeers . Still always carry BD stretchy ski straps - which also work well as a power strap around leather boots March 23, 2014

Answer:
While we haven't heard of skiers using this combination, after reading your inquiry we checked the fit and it appears to be functional.
This boot has both a groove in the heel (to accept cable binding heel throws) and a "ledge" created by the heel and boot upper. This is important, as in actual use some boot/Targa combos will work better with the ledge instead of the groove. Experiment with both to find optimal retention.
