Arc'teryx Theta AR Jacket - Men's Spring 2013
This is an all-around perfect GoreTex Pro hardshell jacket without any flaws, and consequently I can only offer a boring comment. Design and engineering are top-notch, regardless of whether you intend to use this in the city or on extended trekking tours in any weather condition (the jacket is designed to handle heavy backpacks, incorporating extra-durable materials in the relevant areas). The long cut (leading the jacket to cover your butt) is what made the Theta more attractive to me compared to the Beta and other Arc'teryx jackets, as I consider this most versatile and useful in any situation (particularly when you don't want your jacket to interfere with your pack's hip belt). The hood is the best I've ever seen on any jacket, period. The zips are flawless, and the number of pockets (with an extra interior and one on the arm) is just right. Quality, looks, functionality -- it's all stellar. Runs true to size; I usually wear a small, and the small Theta left me with enough room to layer underneath without appearing bulky. Warmly recommended without reservations, although you should try to get it at a discount price.
